Ashland, a small town in extreme eastern Kentucky, perches on the banks of the Ohio River. The city's downtown features large, ornate homes built by early industrialists.
This trail follows the shoreline of Lake Cumberland. Walkers will enjoy several nice stands of hemlock and beech along the way. The trail passes through a small community of summer homes known as Clark's Bottom. An adirondack shelter is located at the trail's junction with Twin Branch Trail.
