It's horse before the cart all the way in the world's "Horse Capital", Lexington, a city host to a number of historic buildings and a long list of sprawling horse farms.
S-Tree Campground, next to Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail, is in a remote forest setting. It has vault toilets and a picnic shelter. No drinking water is available. Hiking, OHV, bike and horseback riding are allowed on portions of the Sheltowee Trace and Renfro Loop Trail. Each campsite has a gravel parking space, tent pad, fire ring, picnic table and lantern pole. There are twenty sites. Please pack out your trash.
